Speakers:

Paul Stukenholtz, with Stukenholtz Laboratories from Twin Falls, Idaho, is well known and respected in alkaline soil science and fertility management. He is especially known to farmers in Northern Wyoming and attracts a crowd wherever presents. Living and working in the West, Stukenholtz is intimately familiar with alkaline soils and specifically Wyoming conditions.

Dr. Tim Reinbott, the Assistant Director for Natural Resources at the Central Missouri Research, Extension, and Education Center for the University of Missouri, is a soil specialist currently researching the differences in soil analysis results and how cations impact soil structure. Dr. Reinbott’s knowledge will be a valuable perspective in understanding how the cation levels in Wyoming soils directly impact the crops we grow.

Two local speakers, Rory Karhu, NRCS District Conservationist in the Powell office, and Chris Crosby, Big Horn Basin farmer, will provide information on practices that are beneficial to Wyoming specific issues. These local perspectives will provide first-hand experience working through the same challenges faced by producer attendees.
