About the event
Our May Speaker Series will feature Teton Bear Products and Grizzly Guard Composter's founder and CEO Robb Sgroi.
This presentation will cover basic elements of composting at the residential scale. Topics will include carbon and nitrogen ratios, what materials can be composted, methods of composting, what are common composting mistakes and results. Robb's business, Teton Bear Products, LLC was founded with a simple vision: to support diversion of organics from the waste stream, and improve human wildlife coexistence. What started as a local solution to a growing problem has evolved into a trusted product for anyone who wants to safely compost with the development of the Grizzly Guard Composter, a certified and patented bear-resistant composter designed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and manufactured in Idaho.
Robb Sgroi has worked in natural resources for 25 years, at the local, federal, private, and non-profit levels. Robb's background is in biology, and natural resource management. Robb has been a dedicated composter for the past ten years, diverting nearly all his residential food waste. Robb is owner of Teton Bear Products, maker of the first certified bear resistant tumbler composter- the Grizzly Guard Composter.
Our speaker series would happen virtually, Wednesday, May 27, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Zoom links will be distributed to attendees via registration and reminder emails before the event.
