Wyoming Food Systems Assessment -
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

DFS.jpg
The NourishedRX Assessment found the Wyoming Food Coalition (WFC), is the natural organization to lead and convene food systems improvement across sectors. However, the Wyoming Food Coalition does not REVIEW, MANAGE, nor ADMINISTER grant funds.

We work to market and coordinate open grants from the Food Works Group to producers, distributors, and food hubs and pantries in Wyoming to improve and  grow a resilient food system. See more information on this grant program below.

We are excited to announce that the 2026 Aggregation and Distribution Support Program is now open for applications!

This program offers up to $200,000 per award, with approximately $670,000 in total funding available, to Wyoming organizations that aggregate and distribute Wyoming-grown foods to food security service organizations and other markets. No match is required.

The goal of this program is to build a resilient, efficient distribution system that connects Wyoming producers and food security organizations. These efforts will both enable Wyoming producers to reach more markets at fair prices and ensure food security service organizations have reliable access to Wyoming-grown foods. This funding opportunity encourages applicants to think creatively about sustainable approaches to aggregation and distribution that will continue beyond the life of this grant program. We encourage applications from organizations that have expertise in aggregation and distribution work and have demonstrated success in working with Wyoming producers and/or storing, transporting, distributing, buying, or selling local foods.

The funding and the evaluation criteria is different and distinct from the future purchase agreement program. You can still apply to support the same program that you applied for under the future purchase agreement, strong applications will be focused on aggregation and distribution work, as detailed in the RFA.

Eligible applicants include Wyoming food hubs, cooperatives, nonprofits, aggregation and distribution businesses, and producers or producer groups involved in aggregation and distribution services. Funded activities may take place from May 1 through November 20, 2026.
