1st Annual Great Plains Indigenous Food Sovereignty Conference

May 1, 2025

Strengthening Food Sovereignty in Tribal Communities

Join us for the first annual Great Plains Indigenous Food Sovereignty Conference, a powerful gathering dedicated to fostering Indigenous food sovereignty, community-driven business development, and the revitalization of traditional foodways. Organized by the UNL Tribal Extension Office and the Turtle Island Trade Coalition (TITC), this event will bring together Indigenous food producers, tribal leaders, extension staff, and community members from across the region to discuss and inspire new pathways towards sustainability and self-sufficiency.

The conference will be held in person at the UNL East Campus Union, an accessible venue designed to accommodate all participants comfortably. We ask that participants commit to attending both days of the conference, as the workshops and discussions build on each other for a comprehensive experience.

This event is free, but registration is required to reserve your spot. Spots are limited, so reserve your seat today!
