Quivira

Mar 26, 2026

Free Webinar

Join this free webinar to hear practical lessons a ranch manager has learned from restoration & rangeland grazing management efforts in arid landscapes. We will discuss considerations for using compost, biochar, or bale grazing in variable & windy conditions, the role of targeted brush management, and aligning livestock choice & management with both ecological goals & economic viability.

We will hear from Travis Dimler, the manager of a ranch near Alpine, Texas. This ranch has been part of a set of Quivira demonstration sites & Travis will discuss the differences between short-term implementation effects & observed long-term changes to soil health & resilience of different active management strategies.

The content will be applicable to all who are ranching in arid and semi-arid regions and wanting to build up the soil health of their land. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and discussion after the presentation.
