What we can and cannot know about the number of women farmers in the USA changes every five years. This is largely because, over the decades, significant changes have been made to the way USDA Census of Agriculture demographics are measured and reported. This means that the picture of women farmers changes drastically along with changes to data collection, leading to misunderstandings and misrepresentations of women farmer trends. Join us as we take a look at the ways women farmer trends have been reported and then delve into what we can actually know based on CoA data. The results may surprise you!
Annie’s Project welcomes all to participate in our programming.
