The U.S. Department of Agriculture held a webinar for meat & poultry processors to learn how they can expand their capacity through the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP). The webinar is open to the public & took place on June 16, 2026, at 2 p.m. EST.
participants will hear a comprehensive overview of MPPEP Phase 4 from program experts & learn how this competitive grant program can support the American beef industry & strengthen local meat/poultry supply chains.
USDA is making $60 million in grants available through Phase 4 of MPPEP. This program underscores Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins’ efforts under the leadership of the Trump Administration to encourage competition & sustainable growth in the U.S. meat processing sector, & to help improve supply chain resiliency.
