Live, Virtual Panel to Tackle High‑Stakes Drought Decisions
As of early May, just over half of the U.S. is facing some level of drought, and 36 percent is in severe or worse drought conditions. For ranchers, that reality translates into stress, uncertainty, and some of the hardest decisions they will ever make about land, cattle, and family operations.
To help ranch families think through those choices, Good Grazing Make Cent$ is hosting a free virtual panel, “When in Drought (2.0) – Making Tough Decisions Count,” on May 27 at 7 p.m. (MST). The live discussion will stream on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, and will be driven largely by questions from ranchers tuning in.
The panel will focus on the real‑world drought decisions that directly affect ranch profitability and long‑term viability: how to protect rangeland health and grazing capacity under pressure, how unprecedented cattle markets should influence drought strategies, and how to keep a ranch operating when dry years stack up.
