Governor Mark Gordon has approved the Wyoming Department of Family Services’ SUN Bucks Program Preliminary Implementation Plan. The plan was created in response to the governor’s Executive Order 2026-02.
All activities & timelines proposed in the Preliminary Implementation Plan are subject to federal approval of Wyoming’s comprehensive Plan for Operations & Management, and subject to change. DFS is working with the USDA Federal Nutrition Services to finalize our summer 2026 SUN Bucks benefits.
What is SUN Bucks?
SUN Bucks is a summer-only food benefit program.
Children eligible for free and reduced-price meals may also be eligible for SUN Bucks.
Each child is eligible for $120 in food benefits for the summer months.
Benefits are subject to the same purchasing restrictions as SNAP.
Benefits are issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.
