The Growing Justice Fund is hiring a Managing Director

The Growing Justice Fund

May 18, 2026

The Growing Justice Fund is entering its next chapter, and we’re looking for a leader ready to help shape the future of practitioner-led philanthropy and equitable food systems work nationwide.

We’re hiring a Managing Director to steward the Fund’s long-term vision, support participatory governance, strengthen funder relationships, and help deepen the impact of community-led food systems change across the country.

This role will help lead the Fund’s strategy and day-to-day leadership while working closely alongside our Advisory Committee, grantee partners, and broader movement ecosystem.

We’re looking for someone who understands that food systems work is deeply connected to racial justice, land, labor, culture, and community power and who is excited to help strengthen a practitioner-led philanthropic model grounded in accountability and collective leadership.

This is a remote, U.S.-based leadership role for someone deeply grounded in movement work, philanthropy, racial equity, and collaborative leadership.

We especially encourage applicants with strong relationships across BIPOC, Tribal, Indigenous, worker justice, and food sovereignty movements to apply.

Applications due Monday, May 18, 2026
